Description
Grand Theft Auto IV is an award-winning, open-world action game developed by Rockstar North and published by Rockstar Games. The game features the main character Niko Bellic, as he arrives in Liberty City to begin a new life. He soon finds out that starting over is not as easy and demons of the past won’t leave him alone even across the ocean. GTA IV received universal acclaim for its gripping story, excellent gameplay mechanics and the open-world environment, bursting at the seams with content. GTA 4 The Complete Edition includes the main game and the Episodes from Liberty City expansion pack, which contains The Lost and Damned and The Ballad of Gay Tony DLCs.
GTA-style gameplay in HD
GTA IV is the first “HD era” game of the series. The iconic Liberty City has been completely revamped for the next generation of consoles and PC, now closely resembling the real-world New York City. The player can travel the city on foot, using various types of vehicles, riding on the city transport or a taxi. The game’s action segments have the main character fending of enemies with a variety of melee weapons and firearms: knives, baseball bats, pistols, shotguns, assault, and sniper rifles and RPG. Outside story missions, the player can take on side jobs: driving a taxi, catching criminals from the police’s wanted list, putting out fires with a fire truck, and more. The game offers a host of side activities the player can participate in solo, or in the company of one of the NPCs. These activities include going drinking, bowling or visiting an amusement park.
Three men, three stories
GTA IV and the Episodes from Liberty City feature three unique storylines, each with its own protagonist. In the main game, Niko Bellic, a former Eastern European soldier arrives in Liberty City chasing ghosts of his brutal past and trying to start a new life in America. In the Lost and Damned, Johnny Klebitz, second-in-command of the Lost MC, tries to remain loyal to the gang jeopardized by aggressive actions of the Lost’s leader, Billy Grey. The Ballad of Gay Tony’s protagonist Luis Lopez tries to keep his mentor and employer, “Gay” Tony Prince – manager of two of the best clubs in Liberty City, from running into trouble with the wrong people.
