Generation Zero® – FNIX Rising is a DLC for a first-person shooter Generation Zero video game produced and published by Systemic Reaction. The game continues struggles for survival, as 1989 is coming to an end. Chances of finding other survivors become less and less favourable, as the player has to fend off against attacks of machines and search abandoned buildings to find anything useful, like weapons or equipment.

Plot

The constant state of escaping never ends. However, weapons and necessary equipment become more and more scarce. Recent scouting missions conducted by the player and the rest of the crew show that along the Southern Coast of Östertörn, structures made by the FNIX machines started to appear. Thankfully, aside from said structures, it seems that survivors can also be found, not only on the Southern Coast but also the Archipelago and Farmland regions, still putting up a fight and resisting the invading machines.

Expansion Features

• Landscapes modification – going through Östertörn, the player will find that the machines were constantly changing the appearance of places they conquered to make them suitable for them. Enormous walls of defences, generators and electrics are just a few elements of those alterations. Towns around the player are in ruins, and the only things left are walls of old buildings. What angles does the FNIX play? Undoubtedly, nothing positive will come of it.
• The growth of the resistance – small groups of survivors have hidden in vital locations, using strategic positions to ensure safety and deal substantial damage to the invaders.
• More discoveries – the Southern Coast and Farmland regions have changed in more than just the scenery. Pay attention to the environment and find new cosmetics to unlock and achievements to get.
• Melee weapons – while scavaging or simply trying to survive, finding oneself without ammo can mean certain death. Keep looking around Östertörn for brännboll bats and sledgehammers. Those are the perfect tools for stunning or smashing enemies into tiny pieces.
• Dangerous harvesters – the FNIX have created an apocalypse class harvester to gather resources around the lands of Östertörn. Being formidable on their own, they are usually accompanied by other deadly machines, so stay focused.
